

LADY DAWGZ.. FIRST SIGNING CLASS
The original Tennessee Lady Dawgz, founded in 2006.. now has the chance to go to the next level with the announcement of the first signing class. On November 17th Jessica Moore became the first member of the team to sign a National letter of intent. Coach Rick Scarbrough says: "Moore will continue her playing days at Campbell University, a division one program that plays in the Atlantic Sun Conference." Scarbrough adds that Shyra Brown signed a National letter of intent on November 18th to play for Austin Peay University, a division one program in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Scarbrough and Roger Houck founded the Tennessee Lady Dawgz as a 13U team which featured girls mainly from the Clinton area and a few from other locales. Today the Lady Dawgz are recognized throughout the southeast. They exploded on the scene in 2008 after placing 9th in the 15U Division 1 Nationals in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2009, the Lady Dawgz partnered with the South Carolina 76ers to play the Adidas Circuit as well as the AAU schedule.

LADY DAWGZ IN LITTLE ROCK
TN Lady Dawgz recently visited the historic Little Rock Central High School. The school was the site of forced school desegregation during the American Civil Rights Movement. Central is located at the intersection of Daisy L. Gatson Bates Drive (named for the civil rights leader) and Park Street. (For additional information, click here: Little Rock Nine)
